WHAT:  The San Antonio River Authority (River Authority) is hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the Riverdale paddling access point on the Goliad Paddling Trail.  The river access point will extend the Goliad Paddling Trail on the San Antonio River from 6.6 miles to 18.3 miles. The River Authority has worked with Goliad County and the Goliad Sheriff’s Office to install and ensure monitoring of a security camera on the site to help make this access point safe for the public.

NOTES: The Goliad Paddling Trail has been officially designated a Texas Inland Paddling Trail and is a partnership with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, the San Antonio River Authority, Texas Department of Transportation, Goliad County and the citizen nonprofit group Canoe Trail Goliad, Inc.
