River Authority Announces 4th Annual River Clicks Photo Contest
SAN ANTONIO – Get your cameras ready! The San Antonio River Authority (River Authority) announced today it’s hosting the 4th Annual River Clicks photo contest aimed to highlight the San Antonio River Basin. The River Authority is seeking photo submissions that will capture the beauty, unique aspects, and recreational amenities of the San Antonio River and its tributaries. Participants may submit photos on the River Authority’s website from February 26 until May 9. The contest will consist of up to 12 winning categories with outdoor recreation prize packages valued up to $500 and a special category prize package valued up to $1,000.
The River Authority extends this free contest to all communities in Bexar, Wilson, Karnes, and Goliad counties and to individuals of all photographic skill level to submit creative, artistic, fun, and memorable photographs. Every year a new location in one of the River Authority’s four-county service district is recognized in our special category. This year’s special category is John W. Helton San Antonio River Nature Park in Wilson County.
“River Authority parks and trails continue to provide a safe outlet in nature to enjoy with friends and family as we continue through the COVID-19 pandemic,” said River Authority’s Interim General Manager Steve Graham. “This photo contest serves as an opportunity to explore the amenities our parks have to offer including primitive camping and kayaking in this year’s River Clicks special category, Helton Nature Park.”
