David Zambrano – Picking up Trash Along Creeks and Rivers

Constituent David Zambrano's Instagram Post for Be River Proud Blog Post

Meet David Zambrano also known as @texasriversteward on Instagram! This year he set a personal goal to collect one bag of trash a day along any Texas River and primarily focused on the central & southern regions. We can’t commend David enough for his enthusiasm and commitment to keeping our rivers clean. While a lot of the trash collected includes cans and bottles, other interesting items found are VHS tapes, crutches, and tires.

Some of his followers have been inspired by his actions and have joined him along the way. Either by foot or on kayak, this Texas River Steward is on a mission to fulfill his goal by the end of 2020. With his motivating factor in mind, David wants has set out to make sure there is an outdoor space that his nieces and nephews can enjoy in the future!
