The 5th Annual River Clicks Photo Contest is currently underway!
We’re looking for your most unique and creative photos that showcase the San Antonio River. The photo contest is designed to enhance community appreciation of the San Antonio River Basin by celebrating its beauty through photography. The River Clicks Photo Contest also allows citizens to contribute to a library of photos that showcases San Antonio River Authority (River Authority) parks and the thriving ecosystems and wildlife of the San Antonio River Basin. Participants of all skill levels are encouraged to take photos while enjoying their favorite creek or river, River Authority park, or anywhere outside in the San Antonio River Basin throughout Bexar, Wilson, Karnes, and Goliad counties.
This year’s special category honors the newest River Authority park: Escondido Creek Parkway! Escondido Creek Parkway is located at 208 N. Sunset Strip in Kenedy, Texas, and its amenities include a splash pad, skate park, pavilion, and a reservable amphitheater.
The River Clicks Photo Contest submissions are accepted from March 1 to May 31.
Judges will select winning photographs from the following categories:

Each submission may also be considered for Judges’ Choice for Best Photograph from Bexar, Wilson, Karnes, and Goliad counties.
A 12th category, People’s Choice, will be open to the public for voting once the judges have selected the finalists. People’s Choice will be promoted on the River Authority’s social media pages, so stay tuned!
Upon conclusion of the contest, the winners will be announced and awarded outdoor recreation prize packages valued at up to $1,000 at a reception at the Witte Museum held on September 1, 2022.
