The San Antonio River Authority (River Authority) is collaborating with the City of San Antonio for the 2017-2022 Bond project Panther Springs Creek Restoration. The creek restoration efforts will focus on improving the water and sediment conveyance of the existing natural channel. The project is located north of Loop 1604 and extends along an approximately 2,440 feet portion of Panther Springs Creek near Blanco Road. This project includes the design, construction, and post-construction monitoring of stream improvements to address degraded stream conditions including ponding on Panther Springs Creek.
Bridge Installation
Due to bridge installation occurring along the river, there will be a temporary pause in pedestrian traffic. Once the bridge is set down and the rigging removed, the trail will once again be opened. Sorry for the inconvenience.
