The bottle filler on the water fountain at Confluence Park is down for maintenance. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Trail users may experience intermittent delays near Echo Bridge along the Mission Reach on Tuesday, Aug. 25, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. while CPS Energy contractors perform overhead utility work. Pedestrian and bicycle traffic will be temporarily stopped at times for safety as crews pull utility lines across the river. Traffic control personnel and law enforcement officers will be on site to assist trail users. Please use caution and follow all posted signage and directions from staff.
Active wasp nests have been reported near the pavilion at Confluence Park. Visitors are encouraged to use caution and avoid disturbing vegetation in the area while staff assess the situation. Thank you for your cooperation.
Helton Nature Park will be closed beginning on August 26th through August 28th due to paving and seal coat work at the park. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Staff have removed two large log jams just downstream of Helton Nature Park, keeping the southern portion of the SASPAMCO Paddling Trail temporarily closed. Staff are working to contact adjacent landowners to support a land-based removal solution.
NOTICE: HWY 59 Landing Site Closed
Due to TxDOT construction on the HWY 59 Bridge, the HWY 59 landing site is closed until further notice. However, the Goliad Paddling Trail remains open, and paddlers can still access the river at the Riverdale, Ferry Street, and Goliad State Park landings.
Please plan accordingly and check back for updates.
