WHAT:            The San Antonio River Authority (River Authority) Watershed & Park Operations staff continues to collect trash along the Mission Reach of the San Antonio River Walk following yesterday’s storm event. The continued amount of rainfall that has taken place over the past few days has resulted in significant amounts of trash spread out throughout the segment which is a common occurrence. The River Authority is inviting media to help raise awareness of the effects that littering can have on our area creeks and rivers to help motivate and engage the public to take a proactive approach and help protect our natural resources.

WHEN:            Wednesday, May 12, 2021

WHERE:         Mission Reach of the San Antonio River Walk

WHO:             Kristen Hansen, River Authority Watershed & Park Operations Manager

NOTES:          For more information about the River Authority’s parks and trails and how the public can assist in trash collection events through our River Warriors volunteer program, visit www.sariverauthority.org.
