Wild and Scenic Film Festival at Confluence Park Pavilion

WHAT: The 10th annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival returns to San Antonio’s Confluence Park on Saturday, September 30. Event attendees will be treated to a curated collection of thought-provoking films focusing on environmental awareness and outdoor adventure. These films aim to capture the Earth’s beauty, shed light on pressing environmental challenges, and celebrate the efforts of communities working to protect the planet. Each film serves as an inspiration and a call to action.with an evening screening of international, nature-based short films.

For the past two years, the San Antonio River Authority and San Antonio River Foundation have partnered to bring the event to the city and foster a stronger connection to the preservation and stewardship of the San Antonio River Basin.

Tickets are 25% off Wednesday, September 27 through Friday, September 29 and can be purchased online at SanAntonioRiverFoundation.org using the code FilmFest25.

Food and beverages from local vendors are included in the ticket price, and attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blankets.

All proceeds directly contribute to the San Antonio River Foundation’s mission and programs.

  • Park and river access will be CLOSED Monday–Friday from 8 AM – 5 PM (no access during these hours).

Trail Closure – San Pedro Creek Culture Park

* Trail temporarily closed from 5/1/2025 until 9/1/2025.

Due to adjacent construction work, the San Pedro Creek Trail on the west side of the creek will be closed from the access

Goliad Paddling Trail Alert

NOTICE: HWY 59 Landing Site Closed

Due to TxDOT construction on the HWY 59 Bridge, the HWY 59 landing site is closed until further notice. However, the Goliad Paddling Trail remains open, and paddlers can still access the river at the Riverdale, Ferry Street, and Goliad State Park landings.

Please plan accordingly and check back for updates.

SASPAMCO Paddling Trail Temporarily Closed

Staff have removed two large log jams just downstream of Helton Nature Park, keeping the southern portion of the SASPAMCO Paddling Trail temporarily closed. Staff are working to contact adjacent landowners to support a land-based removal solution.

The SASPAMCO paddling trail is open from River Crossing Park to Helton Nature Park.
*Please Note: Paddling Trail from Helton Nature Park to HWY 97 is still closed due to blockages.
