Goliad County Water Supply Corporation

In 2001 and 2002, the San Antonio River Authority expanded its water resource management role to include the development and acquisition of water resources for communities voicing immediate water resource concerns. At the request of the Goliad County Judge, the River Authority helped establish the Goliad County Water Supply Corporation. These water systems are the first-ever centralized water systems in these communities. Since their success, the systems have grown to include the cities of Cologne and La Bahia.

Currently, the City of Goliad’s Utility Department provides contracted billing services as well as operation and maintenance support.
