2026 Race the River – Downtown River Walk

Grab a spot on the River Walk and experience the excitement of downtown racing!

Race the River - Downtown Riverwalk

We had a blast hosting our racers so far during our Race the River Series along the Mission Reach in May and the SASPAMCO Paddling Trail in September, now it’s time for Race the River – Downtown!

Racers will compete side by side along the narrow channels of the famous River Walk! The energy is only amplified by the city lights—this is the only nighttime race in the state of Texas!

There are a few spots left, but if you can’t make it on the water, join us for our Race Day party at the Arneson River Theatre!

By visiting the River Authority at these events, you support enjoyable creeks and rivers. We encourage you to explore and make your own connections to the beautiful waterways across our basin. The River Authority always offers FREE programming! So, what events will we see you at this Fall?
