Planting native trees on your property is an important way to help the San Antonio River. Native trees grow to support pollinators and birds by providing the right kinds of food and shelter for a harmonious ecosystem, even in urban settings. Greening with native plants helps keep areas cool, and their root systems prevent erosion. Plus, they are adapted to drought conditions! Come pick up your young native tree in a one gallon pot and plant it at your home to make a more sustainable environment. This tree give away begins at 9 am and continues while stock lasts. Thank you to the City of San Antonio Parks and Recreation-Urban Forestry for sponsoring this give-away.
